Don't Throw Those Coupons Away! |
With high unemployment and an economy that continues to flounder, families are looking for ways to save on expenses, especially groceries. In a November 2009 survey by Health Focus International, 74 percent of respondents said they were more worried about grocery spending than before. Kristin Peoples, known as the Miami Valley Coupon Queen, has a solution—“Don’t Throw Those Coupons Away!” Not only is that advice, but it is the name of People’s new book.
“I wrote the book because I think it’s important to help people save money. Using the tips in my book, families can realistically save half on their grocery budget and with a little study, even more,” Peoples said. “It’s not unusual to save 75% or more when the grocery stores have big sales.”
Many feel that saving and clipping coupons is time consuming. People’s agrees but says it’s worth it.
“After a while you will be able to finish the entire process in under an hour,” People’s said. “If you use those coupons to save $50, that’s what you made in an hour. There are not a lot of places you can work and make that.”
Peoples offers tips on organization and where to find the best coupons in her book. The book was released in April 2010.
